Today, I had the chance to interview someone I have known for a few years at this point, and his name is Brad Ward. Brad is probably the most passionate fan of wrestling I have ever met. Brad is not only a contributor to Fighting Game Nation, but he has also personally been invited in the past several years to play test the various WWE games. For those of you that know Brad, you know he is one of the nicest people on the planet. I hope you all enjoy a little more insight on his life.

While it was Hogan vs Iron Sheik that made me notice the WWE, it was really Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels (Ironman) that wowed me and amazed me. The combination of athleticism and showmanship had me hooked.

What are the origins of Fighting Game Nation?
It started with writing reviews and covering Rare games mainly KI and games like Jetforce Gemini on N64. I then did fan sites for various WWE Games titles, which led me to do work starting my own site covering WWE and older wrestling games. I was then recruited for Gaming Ring previously WWFWG where I became friends with certain staff members and in 2013 I joined FGN with a top person from GR. Since then been doing all I can do to build our own community.

WWE stuff with THQ and 2K?
Well that stuff started after I went to THQ with GR. It started with me covering the games, but was invited to participate in playtests since 2010. Due to contracts in place I cannot discuss the process of it other then the people involved were great and made us feel at home whether it was Marcus Stephenson, Aaron Kaufman or Aubrey Sitterson. Cory was also a very cool guy to deal with as well. I recommend anyone to get involved with playtesting as it opens your eyes, even if you think you know it all.
